LED Streetlighting Solution for Hazeldean Boulevard
BEKA Schréder is proud to have supplied the LED streetlighting solution for the newly constructed Hazeldean Boulevard in Pretoria East, Gauteng.
The newly constructed Hazeldean Boulevard was recently handed over to the City of Tshwane by Balwin Properties.
The road spans 3 kilometers and includes an underpass at the N4 highway, linking Ridge Road in the Hazeldean Precinct with Lagoon Drive in Riverwalk, providing Hazeldean residents with a northern exit point to Bronkhorstspruit Road, and Riverwalk commuters with a southern exit point to Lynnwood Road.
Hazeldean Boulevard links Mamelodi and Silver Lakes and is expected to take significant pressure off Silverlakes Road.
BEKA Schréder’s LEDLUME 1 and LEDLUME 3 luminaires were chosen for streetlighting as they have been designed and manufactured in South Africa, taking the continent’s harsh environmental conditions into account, thus ensuring maximum product lifetime.
The LEDLUME range offers optimised photometrical performance with a minimum total cost of ownership. It has provided the customer with the ideal tool to generate energy savings, improve lighting levels and reduce maintenance costs. The great variety of high-performance optics optimises the photometric distribution for this specific application to achieve minimum energy consumption and unsurpassed light uniformity.
