We are proud to have supplied the dynamic LED floodlighting solution for the National Sports Stadium in Harare, Zimbabwe.
The National Sports Stadium, situated in Zimbabwe’s capital city of Harare, is the country’s largest sporting venue and can accommodate up to 60,000 spectators. While football is its main use, the multi-purpose facility also stages rugby union matches.
Following major renovations in 2026, the stadium’s exterior lighting installation was also modernised. The outdated lighting was replaced with our high-quality, long-lasting LED solution, delivering substantial energy savings.
Lights, Music, Action!
The National Sports Stadium’s field lighting is managed through DMX lighting control with a music interface to create a highly flexible and dynamic lighting experience.
Using DMX technology, individual luminaires or groups can be precisely addressed and controlled. Lighting levels and zones can be quickly adapted for training sessions, matches, broadcast requirements and special events, while synchronised switching ensures consistent performance and helps optimise energy use.
The music interface adds another dimension, synchronising lighting effects with music to create dynamic, beat-driven light shows for pre-match build-ups, celebrations and special events. This enhances the spectator experience while maintaining simple and flexible control.
At the National Sports Stadium, the result is a versatile lighting solution that combines precision, flexibility and reliability, with the ability to transform the atmosphere from match-ready illumination to a dynamic light show at the touch of a button.

Lighting the Game
OMNIBLAST-2-E MAXI floodlights have been installed around the stadium canopy, delivering high-performance illumination across the field.
Designed and manufactured in South Africa, the OMNIBLAST is a versatile LED floodlight developed for sports venues and large-scale areas. FIFA Quality Pro approved, it meets the demanding requirements of professional football and broadcasting, while its modular optical concept provides flexible light distributions and lumen packages for a wide range of applications. Excellent glare control, high colour rendering, TLCI compliance and flicker-free performance further ensure the quality required for professional sports lighting, while patented cooling technology in the MAXI version helps maximise lifespan and maintain lumen output.
Lighting the National Stadium
Beyond the field, we have provided a comprehensive lighting solution across the National Sports Stadium, addressing a wide range of applications throughout the venue. The installation includes LEDNOVA-MIDI luminaires for the seating areas, with emergency lighting incorporated for added safety, while SOL-ONE MAXI solar luminaires illuminate the perimeter and main entrance. KAZELLE post-top luminaires enhance the administration areas and VIP parking, with SEMITA bollards providing lighting along the walkways. Existing four-way poles around the stadium have been upgraded with LEDLUME 2 streetlights, while OMNISTAR-MIDI floodlights provide illumination for the main parking areas and OMNIFLOOD luminaires light the exterior of the stadium. Together, these solutions create a cohesive, efficient and reliable lighting environment across the entire venue.
