Solar Highmast Lighting for Waste Water Treatment Works

BEKA Schréder has supplied the solar highmast lighting solution for the Mdantsane Waste Water Treatment Works in the Eastern Cape province, South Africa. 

The Mdantsane Waste Water Treatment Works required a reliable and efficient lighting solution. To reduce electricity costs, ensure continuous illumination despite power supply interruptions, and eliminate the risk of cable theft, a solar-powered lighting system was selected.

BEKA Schréder’s SOLARFLOOD solar floodlights, mounted on 20m highmasts, provided the ideal solution. This installation marks a significant milestone as the first waste water treatment facility in the Eastern Cape province to be illuminated by solar lighting.
