Solar Highmast Lighting for Pre-Border Checkpoint

BEKA Schréder has supplied the solar highmast lighting solution for a police pre-border checkpoint close to Musina in the Limpopo Province on the N1 highway to and from the Beitbridge Border Post between South Africa and Zimbabwe.

The Beitbridge Border Post is a key crossing between the two countries and a vital trade route, known for its high traffic volumes as the busiest road border post in Southern Africa.

Two masts fitted with BEKA Schréder’s SOLARFLOOD PREMIUM solar highmast lighting solutions have been installed at a strategic pre-border checkpoint where law enforcement officials conduct random vehicle inspections. Due to the remote nature of the site, previously installed infrastructure was frequently vandalised, making a vandal-resistant, solar-powered solution the most practical and reliable choice.
