Locally Engineered Lighting Solution Supports Mine

BEKA Schréder has provided the lighting solution for a Coal Mine in Mpumalanga, South Africa.

For this project, Womsebenzi, the project’s EC&I contractor, partnered with BEKA Schréder to ensure a robust and energy-efficient lighting solution across various operational areas. Locally designed and manufactured BEKA Schréder luminaires were selected to meet the project’s technical specifications, ensuring optimal performance and the best lumen-per-watt efficiency for each application.

Conveyors

Robust LEDNOVA-MINI industrial luminaires have been installed to illuminate the conveyor systems. Designed for optimal photometric performance and long-term reliability, the LEDNOVA range significantly reduces energy consumption and maintenance requirements across a wide range of demanding environments. Suitable for use in outdoor mining areas, oil and gas refineries, food and beverage plants, manufacturing facilities, and other heavy-duty applications, the LEDNOVA ensures high-quality illumination with reduced disability glare, improving overall visual comfort and safety. In addition, certain models in the LEDNOVA range are available for use in hazardous locations requiring Zone 1, 2 or 21/22-rated luminaires.
