De Hoop Primary School was established in 1970 and is situated between the magnificent Hottentots Holland Mountains and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and False Bay in Somerset West, Western Cape Province.
Looking to reduce their power consumption and maintenance costs, the school decided to upgrade their sports field lighting from old traditional high-intensity discharge lamps to LED technology. We are proud to have supplied the South-African manufactured OMNIBLAST-E LED floodlight retrofit solution for this project. These floodlights were chosen due to their low glare, very good performance and the fact that they had a similar weight to the old luminaires, thus no pole replacement was necessary.
The OMNIBLAST-2-E MIDI floodlight illuminates the multi-purpose Astro field which can be used for Rugby, Soccer, Hockey or Cricket and as an Athletics track. The smaller version, the OMNBLAST-1-E MIDI, was chosen floodlight for the Tennis Courts which can also be used for Netball.
OMNIBLAST-E modular LED floodlighting solution
The OMNIBLAST-E range consists of a MIDI and MAXI variant, and is the ideal tool for sports venues and other very large area applications that require a lighting solution with the highest efficiency and flexibility to adapt to the different lighting needs.
This LED solution offers an alternative with proven benefits for traditional fixtures fitted with 250W to 2000W HID lamps. A modular concept of optical units means that 1, 2 or 3 modules can be mounted on a similar bracket arrangement to offer the utmost versatility, providing light distributions and lumen packages perfectly adapted to the specifications of the area to be lit.
We develop and manufactures energy-efficient LED lighting products in South Africa, designed and suitable for local conditions.
