The mine’s entrance road is illuminated by the BEKA SOLAR. A solar lighting solution was chosen as this makes the installation independent from the power grid, and therefore unaffected by loadshedding. Furthermore, cost savings were achieved as no reticulation was required.

The BEKA SOLAR has been designed to operate daily with an output of 11 hours to incorporate appropriate dimming profiles according to your needs and application, with optional movement sensor where applicable. The BEKA SOLAR has sufficient autonomy to cater for up to three continuous overcast or rainy days, to continue its reliable night operation.
