We Hosted the Belgian Royal Couple
We were honoured to have hosted His and Her Majesty of Belgium on the 24th of March 2023. This significant visit formed part of their state visit to South Africa.

The State visit to South Africa, which took place from the 22nd to the 27th of March, sought to revitalise economic relations between South Africa and Belgium. The visit to our head office and factory was a significant event, as our parent company Schréder is a Belgian company with investments in South Africa and local manufacturing and corporate social investment (CSI) projects.
The Royal visit was led by King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, who were accompanied by South African dignitaries and Belgium’s political, economic, and academic leadership, as well as Ministers-Presidents and representatives of the regions and communities of Belgium.
They were joined by Schréder Global CEO, Mr Werner De Wolf, and Mrs Agnes Keutgen, a member of the Schréder family. BEKA Schréder’s Regional Director of South & Sub-Saharan Africa, Mr Daniel Kasper, HR Director, Mrs Carmen Amurjeeth, and company staff were present to welcome the Royal party and accompany them throughout the visit, where our products were showcased to the Belgian delegation.
The State visit provided an opportunity for Belgian companies to explore investment opportunities in South Africa, and for South African companies to explore new business opportunities in Belgium
